That of the 27-year-old Kenyan woman from Nairobi, who arrived on March 5, remains the only recorded case so far. The national authorities have already intercepted 22 people among those who have been in close contact with the woman.
They are all already in quarantine in the isolation ward of the Mbagathi Hospital in the capital.
None of them would present any symptoms.
A further 23 people on the list of the same plane with which Kenya's "patient 1" was travelling were intercepted. They belong to different nationalities but each of them has been forced to self isolation for 14 days, at the end of which the tests will be done.

In Nairobi she is already loaded in supermarkets to prepare for the possible containment phase: in a short time exhausted masks and on Saturday evening it was already difficult to buy toilet paper. The Ministry of Health has asked citizens not to panic. In the capital, which is also an accomplice at weekends, you can still see far fewer people around.

A statement circulated in which a woman was suspected of having contracted Covid19 and a later one in which the same Kenyan, holding her son, denied it. The Government spokesman said that the news is a fake and that the Government has never received any news about it and will not prosecute the woman as she has officially recanted. The protagonist of the video in any case would not be connected with patient 1 from Kenya.

Mombasa County Governor Hassan Joho has decided to close all nightclubs in the city and surrounding areas. The decree will be in force for 30 days and is motivated by the fact that MOI International Airport still has open flights with Europe.
