Freddie tales about Kenya in Lombardia

At Villa Ferranti in Figino Serenza a Mijikenda evening

28-05-2017 by redazione

An evening of stories about Kenya and the Mijikenda ethnicity this Tuesday at Figino Serenza in the province of Como.
With free entrance, in the beautiful and elegant frame of Villa Ferranti, the headquarters of the municipal library, Malindikenya.net's director presents "The Mijikenda's Journey - A People Never Migrates by His Choice", stories, poems and songs inspired by Native to Malindi and its surroundings and their traditions.
The evening is accompanied by the exhibition of Leni Frau on this people, unique shots performed during the past years in contact with the purest representatives of the girames and the other eight tribes that make up the Mijikenda ethnicity and working together with the local cultural associations.
Singer-songwriter Andrea Parodi, accompanied by violinist Alice Marini, will accompany Freddie's tales with a series of themed songs.
Last February, Andrea Parodi and Freddie successfully presented this show to Malindi's Baby Marrow Art & Food Restaurant, performing on that occasion along with Kazungu Wa Hawerisa, the greatest poet of Mijikenda culture.
The evening is sponsored by the NGO comasca Karibuni and will start at 9 pm.
