Famous italian dj choose Malindi as fun hub

Max Correnti plays music at Tangeri Lounge

16-11-2019 by Freddie del Curatolo

"Malindi is perfect for becoming one of the hubs of fun and creativity, of the quality of the proposals with venues of international scope that express the Italian spirit but know how to involve attentive visitors in recognizing professionalism and passion. Just like in Costa Smeralda".
Words marked like a "trap" song, but the notes and the beat that Max Correnti can put on them are much better, because we are talking about one of the historical deejays and art directors of the trendy clubs of Sardinia, but above all about a professional and great connoisseur of musical genres and styles.
In short, one who has always followed the trend, but does not follow it.
A holiday in Malindi, with two evenings "in his own way" in the renovated Tangeri Lounge where he dragged Italian and Kenyan audiences, was enough to include the Kenyan tourist town in the list of its winter entertainment destinations.
"A magical place where the Italian presence is fundamental - explains Correnti - because it allows us to express the best of our creativity and experience in managing the evenings in tourist places, involving a people who now discover the various trends and many musical genres. Here at the Tangier Lounge I started the evening to the sound of Battisti and De Andrè, something unthinkable elsewhere but that is part of my background and I always try to combine quality dance.
Correnti is anything but a commercial deejay, he's one who, down from the tower of a sound system, launches Despacito and saves Led Zeppelin, for instance, who remixes James Brown and Janis Joplin and forgets techno.
"Soul, '70s and '80s, is what I love and what I propose - explains the king of the Costa Smeralda nights - in my collection of 14 thousand vinyl there is little room for Latin American or rap".
Correnti was happily impressed by Kenya and will be back at the end of January for a series of evening events in which it will be impossible not to dance on the tables of the Tangeri Lounge, which is once again one of the trendy meeting places of the tourist destination.
"I already have contacts with Nairobi, where I will bring my playlists to the international environments of the new places in the capital frequented by leaders of the United Nations and the Multinationals - explains the deejay born in Turin but Milanese by adoption - all people who love to have fun and are in search of quality, in all fields. Nairobi-Malindi can become the axis if, thanks to professionals in every sector, it is able to offer Italian excellence".
