The social work of Karibuni Onlus in the Malindi inland never stops, thanks to the generosity of the Italians.
The new "Tiziana Nursery School" in Langobaya was delivered yesterday to the local authorities.
It is a kindergarden that accommodate eighty children and that some months ago the local institutions of the large village 70 kilometers from Malindi had decided to close for the dilapidated conditions besetting. The kindergarten was built even three years ago by the NGO ActionAid and in practice was abandoned immediately, no toilets, no running water and the crumbling roof straight away. Needless to say, without supervision there was not even who could take care of food and provisions of all kinds.
The parents of the children, with the help of local authorities, they asked Karibuni, well known in the area for the farm projects employing now about fifty people and produce income, to help them not to close.
After the involvement of the president of the association Gianfranco Ranieri, comes the good news of the availability of an Italian couple, Tiziana and Riccardo Fires. to support all restructuring expenses and the bathrooms and benches built to bring water and make the school a little gem.
After a small ceremony under an auspicious storm, will Tiziana and Riccardo to inaugurate it next January. After ten months it rained Langobaya and all it was a sign of blessing for the school.
E 'was Mr. Chai, head of the County Nursery Kilifi, to cut the ribbon, at the sound of the songs of "Karibuni Gospel Choir", our talented boys Karibuni supported by the secondary school of Malanga.
