PGA Academy, a guitar school in Malindi

The Art of Paolo M. Palmitessa to learn or improve

04-09-2016 by redazione

Learn to play guitar or perfect their technique equator, with a high-level teacher?
In Malindi you can, thanks to the experience and passion of an Italian musician.
Paul M. Palmitessa, born and raised in music (his father was superintendent of the Opera of Rome), he performed for years in Italy and in Europe, releasing albums and writing music of which a significant selection is playable on Youtube.
Since the nineties he moved to Malindi where today plays an entirely different profession, but he never abandoned his great love, continuing to compose and be inspired by the evocations of Africa, its rhythms and its melodies.
So now he has decided to open an academy guitar, the "Pro Guitar Academy" for anyone who wants to approach or improve with the instrument. "I thought to provide many years of study to transmit the passion for music and for the wonderful world of the six strings - explains Palmitessa -it is a" technical "way, and comprehensive approach to the various styles and genres. The guitar is endless, you never stop to learn and discover new things. "
Palmitessa started early, at age six.
By classical studies, in the seventies was also one of the pioneers in Italian ethnic music, without forgetting rock, blues and the Roman scene in those years, between the finger-picking and the Folk Jazz Studio and other premises from which output across a school of musicians prominent. "My courses are for all ages, both for those starting from scratch, both for those already familiar with the instrument and want to improve. The common thread is the fun, along with the application. The music is expression, knowledge, improves the person and can also be therapy ".
The courses are structured on three levels, starting from the basics such as posture, the tuning of the instrument, until you get to the stairs, to the classic harmonies and improvisational techniques. PGA Academy will also begin to collaborate with several schools in Kenya. For information, Tel. 0722670353, Mail: pgamalindi@gmail.com
