INITIATIVES

One week only to apply for the Malindi guidebook

List of sponsors already on board to promote our destination

25-05-2022 by redazione

Our initiative of a business and travel guide, complete with a map for getting around Malindi, is getting a good number of sign-ups, so much so that the planned foliation (48 pages) has already been increased due to the influx of advertisements.
As previously written, there is still one week left to confirm your attendance, pay the advertising fee and provide artwork (in case you settle for essential graphics, we can do that).
As of June 1, as they say at the Casino, "les jeux sont faits" and for 2022-2023 those who have decided with us to promote the tourist town, including as a hub to invest or stay for a long time, will be on the publication "Malindi in the pocket."
Here is the updated list of who will be on it as of today: Baby Marrow Restaurant, DTB Bank, Wild Side Boutique, Billionaire, Olimpia Club, La Malindina, Ocean Beach Resort, The Lawford, Cozy Point, Maria Boutique, Leopard Point Luxury Resort, Mariposa, Dream of Africa, Alfajiri Dhow, Skorpio Hotel, Nyumba Ya Mbuyu Boutique Hotel, Malindi Sea Fishing Club, Bar Bar, Kilili Baharini, 7to7 Supermarket, Multigrocer, Elias Jewelry, Rosada, Miradi Studio Boutique, Karibuni Farm, Kudu Safaris, Vekaria Autocare, Cafe Italia, MPL Cheese, Shruti Printer, Shabbir Variety House, Fly540, The Victoria Restaurant, Stella Boutique, ShambaZuri, White Moon, Stardust Disco, Vintage, Woburn Residence, Pizza O, Faliera Hotel, Marine Holiday House, White Elephant, Karen Blixen, Fermento, I&M Bank, Malik Safari, Osiligi, Ndoto Boutique Hotel, Caffè Buscaglione.
"Malindi in the pocket" will be a kind of "yellow pages," along the lines of the successful edition that has been distributed in Watamu for a few years now, called "Passport Watamu." To give a vision of a Malindi with a range of services as an all-inclusive destination where one can not only take a vacation, but also think about investing. The idea of the guide, which will be released before next August, coinciding with the new local tourism season and the return of international tourism, is to be a promotional vehicle for the revitalization of the town.
The guide, in A5 format, will mainly contain advertisements of all the most important activities not only tourism (and not only Italian, indeed there is already good participation of local activities), but also a folding map of Malindi with the location of the main facilities and references marked.
This will be a useful tool that will become indispensable, edition after edition, to learn about all the main services the destination offers and thus give a positive and purposeful outlook for those who not only come to stay, but want to buy property, open a business or relocate. The guide will initially be printed in 5,000 copies, distributed free of charge at the Malindi airport and in major supermarkets, as well as at sponsor locations. It will be valid throughout the season until the next edition in July 2023. In case of running out of copies, the promotion company Madmax Ltd will print more copies at no additional cost to advertisers.
We invite anyone with a business, of any kind (the guide is all-inclusive, advertisers range from luxury resorts and to stores selling chickens and eggs...) to take advantage of the last days and the very last spaces available and "get on board." It would be essential to have a large number of activities to showcase the multitude of services and possibilities that Malindi can offer nowadays.
The costs are very affordable: Kes. 20,000 for one page, Kes. 12,000 for half a page, Kes. 7,500 for a third of a page. To get in touch with us, you can call Tel. 0717067198 or send an e-mail to madmaxkenya@gmail.com
