Blu Whales seen in Kenya, the biggest in the world

Watamu Marine Association said they were in Lamu

Spotted on the coasts of Kenya the largest whales in the world.
Some specimens of "blue whale" (Blue Whale) have been photographed and followed in recent days off the Lamu archipelago.
This is reported by the Watamu Marine Association, for years a point of reference to monitor the passage of whales, killer whales and other marine mammals on the coasts of Kenya, during their migrations in search of climates and sea temperatures suitable for reproduction.
According to the WMA, Lamu is becoming one of the most important areas for the stopover of these species that can reach up to 30 meters in length, as well as Watamu is famous for their passage very close to the coral reef and therefore visible during excursions in the marine reserve.
The blue whale is the largest animal on the planet, with an average weight of 200 tons (about 33 elephants and well over two thousand human beings). The blue whale has a heart the size of a Volkswagen Beetle. Its stomach can hold a ton of crustaceans and it needs to eat about four tons of crustaceans and invertebrates per day. They are the loudest animals on Earth and are much louder than a jet engine. Their calls reach 188 decibels, while a jet for example reaches 140 decibels. Their low frequency whistle can be heard for hundreds of kilometres and is probably used to attract other blue whales.
