The tradition and excellence of Italian bespoke tailoring presented in Nairobi its creations and the art of tailoring wearable elegance. Four Italian master tailors gathered at the Social House hotel in Lavington to show their fabrics (over three thousand different types), tell about Italian fashion, and take customers' measurements for suits, shirts, jackets, and pants. Once back in Italy, the tailors will prepare their bespoke creations and send them back to Kenya.
As organizer Karim Fazal explained, "This is a one-of-a-kind event, representing the pinnacle of luxury fashion, where Little Red will also showcase some of its collections of designer clothing, handbags, accessories, perfumes and shoes."

Sannino, Principe d'Eleganza, Valentino for Women, and Luisa Spagnoli are the four brands that presented Italian excellence in Nairobi.
The Sannino shirt factory in Naples is one of many family-run businesses, a witness and promoter of an art that has been handed down from father to son.
The marketing director, Gennaro Sannino, explained to those present the attention to the smallest details and the secrets of brands that are unique in the world and coveted by those who can afford the best and the customization of their appearance.

Also present at the Social House in Nairobi was Enrico Manzo, master tailor of the Principe d'Eleganza brand, an exclusive haute couture signature that produces only 300 suits a year for VIP clients around the world.

"We make a jacket that is like a second skin," Manzo explained, "Wearing this kind of suit is one of life's pleasures," explained Manzo, who represents the third generation of tailors in his family.

Over the years, the practice of bespoke tailoring has grown in popularity in Kenya, with more and more clients opting for this service and knowing the fabrics and processes that lead to exclusive garments perfect for their physique and aplomb.
"Kenyans are like Neapolitans," is the thought of Gennaro Sannino, "They trust themselves. The made-to-measure clothing market in Kenya is growing fast. Some Kenyans have traveled a lot and know custom fashion well. They are discerning gentlemen, people who are looking for unique and customized garments from start to finish," paying attention not only to the fabrics and their quality, but even to the stitching."
