Quietest hotel in Africa is in Nairobi

British site use tripadvisor's reviews

Nairobi's Ndemi Place hotel, located in the residential area of Kilimani, has been ranked as Africa's quietest by the British publication "Morning.co.uk," which ranked world city hotels according to their levels of peace and tranquility.
The unusual and little-known property ranked first on the continent with a 38.68 percent mention of tranquility by respondents to a survey of travel enthusiasts.
Ndemi has the lowest noise levels despite being just a few kilometers from Nairobi's Central Business District (CBD) and other entertainment venues in its locality, thanks to the quietness of its large garden and the thick walls of the old British building that was once a private residence.
"We wanted to know what they were, so we analyzed thousands of reviews on TripAdvisor to find the hotels with the most mentions of the word "quiet." The Ndemi Place in Nairobi, Kenya, is the quietest hotel in Africa," reads part of the publication's report.
The St. Gaspar Hotel and Conference Center in Dodoma, Tanzania, and the Huma Resorts in Kampala, Uganda, ranked second and third, with 34.62 and 28.83 percent, respectively.
Notably, the Kenyan capital's property ranked second in the world, behind "The Little Garden Boutique Hotel" in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, with an average of 41.28 mentions in the survey. New Delhi's Denva ranked third with 34.74 mentions.
Still structured as if it were a "family house," the hotel offers accommodations in a variety of options: single, double and double deluxe rooms. Its contemporary interiors and lush gardens make it serene, offering guests tranquility within the city as if it were far away instead. As a four-star hotel, Ndemi Place is obviously not only quiet and relaxation for the ears and mind, but also offers other services for guests arriving for business or pleasure.
