This month, like every second Saturday, the Malindi Green And Blue movement, formed by responsible citizens under the aegis of the Progress Welfare Association of Malindi, meets again for the Monthly Clenup of an area of Malindi.
This month, on Saturday 13 February, the Kisumundogo neighbourhood has been chosen, where with the collaboration of the Government's unemployed youth employment programme called Kazi Mtaani, citizens will from 8.15 am clean the streets between Farmer's and HGM Primary School. The PWAM project, which for the past two years has aimed at making Malindi the national symbol of eco-sustainability, has recently received important recognition from the Kenyan government.
A recognition that belongs to everyone, to those who participate in the monthly clean-ups but also to those who every day, in their own small way, do their best to improve the environment and health in the tourist destination and the community of residents of Malindi.
Appointment then with all those who care about a clean, healthy and better Malindi is for Saturday 13 February.
