Freddie and Sbringo, i.e. Malindikenya.net director Freddie del Curatolo and Marco Bigi, musician, composer and former RAI orchestral player, by popular demand return to present live the songs collected in their album entitled 'C'erano una volta gli italiani in Kenya', plus other stories amid irony and poetic verve. The next show will be held next Thursday, 16 February, at the Olimpia Beach Club in Casuarina, Malindi, starting at 8pm.
For those who have recently arrived, for those who missed the first two evenings in Malindi and the other two in Watamu, for those who want to see and hear them again, the appointment with Freddie's stories set to music by Sbringo that speak of Italians in Kenya and their light, grotesque, sometimes romantic, cialtrone or even heroic or disreputable way of moving around in this country. A not-to-be-missed event which, besides being good for the spirit, is also good for the Kenyan children, because part of the profits from the albums, which will be on sale during the evening, will be donated to the students of the schools in the Malindi hinterland, to provide them with meals at the school canteen, in collaboration with the Karibuni Onlus food support project.
