Who's Mohamed Massimiliano? 8th parody is about...

A likely true story about an italian lady in Watamu

17-07-2021 by redazione

Kenya is a land where people fall in love and one of the recurring themes in Italian songs is precisely the propensity of the heart to leap in search of a soul mate (and if not a soul mate, at least a cousin soul, even a third cousin...). Not to mention the brain's propensity to transmit its amorous fantasies to the heart and other competent organs.
During our roundup of parodies dedicated to the adventures of the Italians in Kenya, and particularly in Malindi and Watamu, we dealt above all with the "male" aspect of this tendency. In "Azzurra" (a parody of Azzurro which you can listen to here https://youtu.be/dJWNVF9OTUQ) we told the surreal story of an old man who has chosen to go to "paradise" in his own way. In the recent "Innamorati a Watamu" we sang about the inconveniences of those who throw themselves into a love story without considering the possible consequences. (if you haven't listened to it yet, click here: https://youtu.be/1I6XQawCgO0).
This week, for the eighth parody of the 10 Freddie and Sbringo parodies that make up the "Festival di Sardegna Due", we are dealing with one of the many "possible, probable, or even likely" stories that have seen some of our fellow countrymen as protagonists. In view of some previous misunderstandings, it must be said that any reference to facts, names or situations is entirely coincidental!
It was the well-known opening line of Lucio Dalla's song 4/3/1943 (which the late singer-songwriter from Bologna was forced to name with his date of birth, after having suffered the scythe of censorship on the original title proposed, i.e. "Baby Jesus"): the first verse reads "She said he was a handsome man and came from the sea". And if you imagine him on the beach of Watamu, the same beach where the events of The Lover, borrowed by Memo Remigi, took place, the "handsome man" can become a "handsome dark-haired man" and "he came, he came from Lamu".
The rest of the ironic story can be found below, in the eighth parody of the prize competition conceived by Malindikenya.net and broadcast on Tele Esule's Youtube channel, our ironic and musical video drift to which we ask all readers to subscribe. All the more so because through this parade of funny songs you can participate in the lottery that offers ten juicy prizes to be collected in Kenya before 30 November and convertible into a gift that will arrive in Italy at Christmas 2021. Just click on the video below, subscribe to the channel or just add a comment with your name.
And...as always, Sanremo Festival style, the presentation:
By Kazungu Lucio, Yongo Marco and Mbogo Alfredo... "Mohamed Maximilian". Sing DallaDalla!
GOOD VISION AND GOOD LISTENING!
