APPEAL
29-04-2021 by redazione
It has now been nine months, dear readers and supporters of Malindikenya.net, since we first appealed to you.
With the collapse of tourism, the lockdowns and the attention rightly directed elsewhere, we found ourselves facing a serious labour crisis, without being able to ignore the worst that was happening to many Kenyan acquaintances and workers, especially in the hospitality sector.
Thanks to the help of about 150 readers, some with a virtual "pizza" and others with a greater effort compared to its possibilities, the Portal of Italians in Kenya has continued in recent months to offer this service and to devote itself to its activities of which we often keep you informed: we have participated in food distributions for families in need in Malindi and surrounding areas, we have documented the closure of the country and its problems, we have provided daily official information but also "street" on the pandemic emergency, not to mention our other social and environmental commitments. All this was done at our own expense, relying only on the help of the very few sponsors, institutions such as Comites Kenya and our most loyal readers.
In all likelihood, we will have another few months to spare and we would like to continue with our initiatives.
Therefore, in thanking all the people who have given us a hand so far and those who every month remember to send us a sort of small subscription to the pleasant daily habit that we have been offering you for 12 years now, we ask those who have not yet done so, to send us a personal contribution.
In this link you will find all the data to do so, from Italy and Kenya:

Thanks again and happy light at the end of the tunnel!
See you soon, hopefully in Kenya!
