Eighteen years after the latest programming on Kenya, the Italian airline Alitalia will return to fly to Kenya.
It will do so from 28 March next with a four-weekly direct four-weekly flight from Rome Fiumicino to Nairobi, a flight operated with carrier A330/200.
Timetables will be as follows: departure at 2 p. m. from Rome on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with arrival at 11.35 p. m. local time.
The next day's return (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday) at 00:35 with arrival in Italy at 07:10 am.
This is excellent news for all fellow countrymen who will finally have a direct flight from Italy to Nairobi without stopovers.
Unfortunately, given the timetables, it is not yet possible to make a direct connection with Malindi, but we will be able to work in terms of safety and future operation of the Malindino airport.
Kenya is the second African destination in the opening after Alitalia announced a month ago the return to Johannesburg, South Africa.
