Escape and tragic end of the kenyan vampire

The serial killer of Bungoma was lynched by mob

15-10-2021 by Freddie del Curatolo

The trial that would have given him the final sentence of life imprisonment for the murder of five young boys whose body parts were removed and blood sucked from their veins after their death, was to begin on Thursday. The vampire serial killer was expected by the court to confirm his brutality, while waiting for the discovery of 9 other missing youths for whose probable deaths he is believed to be responsible.
Instead Masten Wanjala, the criminal mastermind we spoke about the day after his capture by the Nairobi police, incredibly (or perhaps not) escaped from his detention cell the day before the hearing. According to detention officials, his escape is unexplained. "The night he escaped, we had no light in the barracks," they said. Their superiors would cite among the causes of the "mishap" the covid-19 emergency that forced them several times to separate and isolate detainees.
But of course the three guards are under investigation.
According to witnesses to whom Wanjala himself told the story before the epilogue, they mistook him for a prisoner who had finished serving a short sentence, while they transferred others.
In any case, the serial killer's escape ended horribly, or perhaps in the manner to which a killer unconsciously aspires.
The 25-year-old from Nairobi managed to escape to the north of Kenya, while a manhunt was already underway in the city by the police.
Arrived in his hometown, Bungoma, thanks to the passage of a truck driver, Masten Wanjala did not try to hide from his fellow countrymen, but even joined a soccer match of kids, which was his way to attract the predestined victims, prospecting a tryout or simply training him to improve their quality, and then drugged and strangled them, before performing his heinous, inhuman rituals.
During the game Wanjala also began to pose as a coach, but someone recognized him and compared his face with the numerous images reported on the internet the previous day. So as the vampire of Bungoma walked towards his mother's house, where the police, alerted, were waiting. Right in front of the house, the people of the neighborhood confronted and lynched him in public, with stones and sticks. According to some witnesses, the serial killer smiled and continued to tell his story, as if he wanted to confirm that the punishment that people were inflicting on him was really directed to the right person, the guilty one.
Deputy Chief of Police Cornelius Nyaribai, had no choice but to ascertain that it was indeed the escaped multiple murderer. "We certainly don't encourage lynching the crowd," the policeman told the media, "but we can confirm that the suspect was chased by people and killed.
The sad story of a mentally ill man who still doesn't know how many innocent young boys he managed to kill, raging over their bodies, ended as crime is often regulated in African villages and communities.
Amen.
