The funeral of Pope Francis, which will take place on Saturday 26 April at 10 a.m. with a funeral mass and a procession for the faithful that will wind its way from St. Peter's Square to Santa Maria Maggiore and will be followed by thousands of faithful through the streets of Rome and by millions on live television around the world, will disrupt, among other things (as has already been the case since last Monday after his death), the television schedules of the Rai networks.
Thus, the programme Linea Verde Italia, scheduled for Saturday at 12.30 p.m. (Italian time), will be postponed to the following Saturday, 3 May, at the same time. This was announced by Rai Uno, which will broadcast the Pope's funeral live throughout the day.
The episode dedicated to Kenya was filmed between the end of March and the beginning of April. Presenters Elisa Isoardi and Monica Caradonna, their crew and the production team spent an intense week in the country, focusing on the environment, sustainability, social issues and, of course, as is customary for the programme, cuisine.
The ‘Italy in Kenya’ component, cooperation and the beautiful stories linked to the constructive and positive presence in this country will be highlighted, from what can be gleaned from the locations and the protagonists of the filming. In addition, of course, to the beauty of the landscapes, from the savannah to the sea.
There will be opportunities to discover the good things that Eni has done and is doing in the central regions, with visits to some of the jewels in the crown of our solidarity efforts, such as the Neema Hospital run by the NGO World Friends, the E4Impact foundation and the school of excellence run by the NGO ‘Still I Rise’. in the Mathare slum, for a fusion cooking class on the shores of the Indian Ocean with Chef Giacomo Gaspari of Planhotel, to talk about the Luigi Broglio space centre, a visit to Nairobi National Park with photographic safari expert and honorary ranger Paolo Torchio, to see the cooperation projects on the coast and much more, so much that it is difficult to fit it all into one programme.
Tune in on Saturday 3 May at 12.30 pm on Rai Uno.
