He chose the celebrations of Madaraka Day, the day of the Constitution, the President of kenya Uhuru Kenyatta, to make a peaceful announcement and peace in view of the upcoming national elections scheduled for August 8th.
"I will calmly accept the outcome of the vote - said Kenyatta - whatever it is. Priority for me is that the country remains peaceful and that there are no post-election chaos as in 2008."
Kenyatta's announcement is an important move and is not just dictated by the current superiority of his party, Jubilee, in the polls that give him 9 points more than the challenger Raila Odinga.
Advantage that in recent weeks has tapered a point.
Now Raila Odinga's answer is awaited, hoping that her affirmation will be the same as her rival.
For Kenya to have peaceful elections, it is very important not only for tourism but also for all business and business opportunities that are being developed in the country.
