Sixteen other cases in Kenya on Palm Sunday where people flocked to the churches in the area with more shyness. The total number of positives from Coronavirus has thus risen to 142.
All newly infected Africans are fifteen Kenyans and one Nigerian citizen.
The sixteen cases have been cleared after the analysis of 530 swabs carried out in Nairobi and other hospitals in Mombasa and other towns over the weekend. Nine of the patients who tested positive were already coming from government-equipped quarantine facilities, while the other seven were found to be symptomatic after being identified among the contacts of people previously infected. Of these, eleven patients have a travel history, while five were infected locally.
There is also a case in Kilifi County, among the new ones. Twelve are positives in the capital and three in Mombasa. Nine are male and seven female patients.
The government has ordered the families of patients who die from the coronavirus to bury their relatives within 24 hours; the number of people who can attend the funeral is limited to 15.
