Africa is a land that renews everything and never before has the cycle of life and things been so well exemplified as in these places, not only by Mother Nature.
So it is that Malindi we have seen many times in decline but that always, thanks to the strength of those who love and work with passion, knows how to recover and even improve.
Today we talk about Rosada Beach, the historic restaurant, bar, beach resort and disco on the beach of Silversand in the most elegant and touristic area of the town, or Casuarina.
For fifteen years Rosada has been a reference point for meeting on the beach, relaxing in the sun and under the shade of palm trees overlooking the Indian Ocean, swimming in the pools of crystal clear water that the shoreline draws in front of the restaurant, light lunches based on fresh fish at kilometer zero or even a flying spaghetti and pizza cooked in a wood-fired oven, an ice-cold tusker and cocktails or tropical juices to sip while enjoying the coastal breeze, watching an ancient Swahili boat sail.
On Monday night Rosada also becomes synonymous with fun, "nightlife" and lightheartedness with the famous Beach Party, now known throughout Kenya.
From tomorrow this "cult" Malindi restaurant reopens with a new management and with the vision of its deus ex machina, the Ligurian Monegasque entrepreneur Carlo Falco, who brings as a dowry the passion for this place, the healthy madness of the enlightened and many surprises, starting with the look and the kitchen.
For the regulars it is more than a confirmation of the style that has always accompanied it and one more reason to continue to attend it, for the newcomers it will certainly become a new point of reference. The presence of Walter Cigni, dean of Italian Malindino gastronomy who in thirty years has given his mark to many restaurants in the area, is synonymous with quality, attention and tasty novelties in the kitchen, and there will be many new features in the service.
From tomorrow Rosada will return, as in its early years, to open the restaurant in the evening, in the enviable and unique location raised in front of the sea or why not, in a romantic setting pied-dans-l'eau. Sunday lunch will also see the return of the famous Grand Buffet, starting this weekend with a special price. And on Monday evening, of course, everyone will dance with a renewed dance floor that will also respect the canons and times of its musical nightclubbin'.
From tomorrow a new rebirth malindina to try. For information and reservations, Tel. 0794677525
