Shooting in Malindi for the new italian movie

Next days "Questa notte parlami dell'Africa" will be at Sabaki river

24-02-2021 by redazione

Second day of shooting for the Italian film "Questa notte parlami dell'Africa" based on the novel of the same name by Alessandra Soresina.
The Draka production crew shot in two locations in Malindi, the international airport and the Webb Library, the town's historic library on the first floor of the Portuguese Column House on the town's seafront.
The film stars actress Roberta Mastromichele in the role of lawyer Emma, who, in order to heal the aftermath of a deep personal crisis, decides to take a break and leave for Africa. When she arrives in Watamu (in the original beautiful book it was Tanzania), she will meet Nuri, who, conditioned by the rigid moral codes of the Muslim family she comes from, cultivates the desire to discover what is outside her world. The two come into contact with a group of activists fighting elephant poaching, including the charming and mysterious Dylan and Finn, a young man with a turbulent past. Emma and Nuri will come to terms with their inner ghosts and discover their own path, following it without regret.
More scenes along the Sabaki River and in downtown Watamu are planned in the coming days, as well as interiors shot at the Barracuda Resort in Watamu.
