There's no way to deny it: when it comes to the best locations in Malindi, for some time now people have been missing the elegant and secluded "chiringuito", a stone's throw from the beach in the centre, where they can meet up for an aperitif. 
This is the White Moon, which over the years has been a disco-pub, a fine restaurant and a lounge bar, and now under the new management of The Lawford, it has come back to life with many new features.
This Friday, in the same enchanting setting as always, but with a touch of style and a few goodies, such as the well-kept spaces and the sea view, the White Moon reopens once a week also for guests from outside the hotel and the residences, with a tasty aperitif and lots of cocktails prepared properly, starting at 6pm and not later than 9pm, as provided for by the Covid-19 protocols. In the magical atmosphere of the venue, which comes back on with its soft lights as soon as the red sunset stops painting the sand and sky in its soft African hues, you can enjoy fish and chicken kebabs, bruschetta and other delicacies and sip a drink in the comfortable gazebos that ensure social distances and where small groups can gather. All this will be enhanced by live music with the beautiful voice of singer Pendo. Appointment starting on Friday 18 December at 6 pm, with entrance from the street in front of the Post Office.
