In Nairobi this week the "Pizza Festival", which ends on Sunday 8th October, was a great success.
On Monday evening in Malindi there is a "Pizza Festival", which is certainly more popular, in the temple of the real Neapolitan pizza, the People (formerly Kiwi) of Lamu Road.
Neapolitan is the manager, Eugenio, who was the first to bring the specialty of his homeland on the Kenyan coast at the end of the eighties.
For many years owner of the Putipù, then in many other places of Malindi, Eugenio is the red eminence (like the "pummarola") of the daisy, the Four Seasons and all other variants of the most famous Italian gastronomic creation in the world, obviously cooked in the wood-burning oven.
On Monday evening you will celebrate the pizza in every version, eating it at will (with a drink more coffee or ice cream included in the price) for only Kshs. 1000.
It will be the first of many Mondays when People Kiwi will host the pizza evening, with live music and the pleasure of being together.
