Malindi is increasingly the coastal capital of fashion. The happy union between talent and local materials and the influences of a country that has always been a symbol of fashion like Italy has brought creations, boutiques and brands to the forefront nationally and even beyond the borders.
This is the case of Charity Karimi, designer and owner of the boutique "Stella Customized" at the Sabaki centre, who after showing her clothes in the capital Nairobi and other African countries, next Saturday, December 28th proposes the fashion show of her new summer 2020 collection with a Fashion Show at the Osteria Beach in Malindi.
"Fashion by the beach", the theme of the gala event, will be staged from 15 to 19 and will not be a simple fashion show, but a real show with live sets, performances by dancers and two exceptional presenters, Freddie del Curatolo of malindikenya.net and the Kenyan finalist at Miss Universe Mary Esther Were.
Starting at 3 pm by the pool in the beautiful setting of Silversand, there will be a series of musicians between a catwalk and the other, including Katoi Wa Tabaka and his band and a dance troupe of young local talent.
In the intention of the creative Kenyan, the 28th of December will be an event to celebrate together Malindi and its beauty through garments designed and made by the fashion designer with local fabrics and local manpower "all made in Malindi". The models are also girls from Malindi and the surrounding area.
