Speedy's, the former Come Back in Watamu reopens in style

Friday 27th Grand Opening of bar, restaurant and disco

25-09-2024 by redazione

The historic bar, restaurant and nightclub in Watamu gets a makeover, changes its name, adds elegance, comfortable spaces, a modern touch and professionalism, and reopens its doors this Friday, 27 September.
From now on call it Speedy's, and no longer ‘Come Back’, because there's no going back and forward is fast! Speedy's Bar & Restaurant will soon become one of the tourist destination's landmark venues, and we can bet it will be even more so than under previous good management.
Speedy's will open every day (except Mondays) from 8pm, with a completely redesigned and redecorated restaurant and a choice of Italian, Swahili and Indian menus, with many fusion dishes, creations and the great classics of our cuisine. All this is preceded by excellent aperitifs in the atmosphere of lounge music, especially in the terrace bar on the first floor.
After dinner and until 3 a.m., Speedy's becomes a disco-pub and continues with drinks, fun and lots of novelties: three times a week the new venue will propose a series of events, some of which are totally new for Watamu: an example? On Friday, for the inaugural evening (we recommend booking as early as dinner, there are still a few tables available!) there will be a sensual and enthralling ‘Bum Bum Dance Competition’, one of the most popular twerk shows in the clubs of Nairobi and Mombasa, with the girls engaged in earning the prize of Bum Bum Lady of the evening and the deejays pumping dance music to then launch everyone onto the dance floor.
In the coming weeks the ‘cool’ events will be at least three times a week, with fashion shows, special music evenings, deejays from all over the world, and dance competitions, twerking and more.
The former Come Back, from now on Speedy's, is in the town centre (Beach Road).
