Reopening for the new season this afternoon is Watamu's most beautiful sunset. It's no coincidence that it's called "Sunset Beach," the tourist destination's now-famous most central beach venue, a destination for an international audience, young and old, frequented for its happy hours from five o'clock in the afternoon, fabulous cocktails prepared by expert bartender and host Matteo, evenings of lounge music, and special, unique Neapolitan pizzas baked in a wood-fired oven.
Tonight, for the reopening, live music and tribal percussion by Katoi wa Tabaka and lots of new features, starting with the expanded dining room with spectacular views of the bay and with a tweaked menu to be discovered. From Saturday, the restaurant and bar will also be open for lunch, with days on the sunbeds all to enjoy, including relaxation and drinks and the usual sunset fun, until after dinner, to accompany residents and tourists to the nightlife at Watamu's many nightclubs. The Sunset Beach is not only a chiringuito and restaurant on the beach, but also a well-maintained bed&breakfast with lovely rooms overlooking the sea, to spend carefree and even sporty vacation days, with the arrival soon of "sup" boards to have fun in the sea.
