The new management of the Tangeri Lounge is celebrating Easter in the best of ways, involving Kenyans and foreign residents in evenings marked by respect for social distances (few tables and spacious sofas, with an airy veranda and compulsory temperature and sanitation at the entrance) but also by fun, because spirit is the best cure for these times when restrictions easily call for bad moods. Malindi is a master in these kinds of comfort and is able to combine a well-organised and ever-renewing venue with a food & beverage service that is up to scratch, topped off with lounge music and, as the hours pass by, dancing.
This year the pleasure is halved, because at 9 pm it is strictly closed, but from 5 pm onwards at the Tangeri Lounge on the Malindi seafront the Monday and Friday events are taking off and attracting young and old, and many beautiful girls.
So, after the success of last Friday's "themed" evening event, a sort of "Dancing with the Stars" is being staged for Easter Monday, where the stars are the customers themselves and the final prize for the best couple is a day with lunch at Paparemo Beach in Watamu, including transport.
