Fresh truffles and good music: this is the classy combination offered on Thursday, June 12, by Roberto's Market in Nairobi, the new venue at Rosslyn Riviera Mall that is not only an excellent retailer of Italian products but also a wine cellar for tasting Italian wines and liqueurs and a meeting place with outdoor tables for breakfast, lunch, and aperitifs, with delicious sandwiches or platters and many surprises.
One of these surprises is the evening of music on June 12, starting at 7 p.m., featuring a well-established band with an acoustic repertoire that draws on the 1970s and 1980s in particular. “Mimosa and Bacon” will perform in a concert that is not to be missed, not least because it will be one of the band's last.
The pairing with the live concert chosen by the energetic host Roberto Miano is fresh summer black truffles, just arrived from Italy. Miano, a risotto specialist, will certainly know how to make the most of this opportunity. Along with the truffles, cold cuts, and cheeses, a good glass of sparkling wine or red wine is a must.
