HIGHLIGHTS

Kiboko River Camp

Kiboko River Camp is an exclusive tented camp in the Kenyan savannah, a stone's throw from the tourist destinations of Malindi and Watamu.

Positioned on the banks of the Galana River, at the gateway to the Tsavo National Park, Kiboko River Camp has been completely redesigned, renovated and furnished by the new Italian owner according to the canons of eco-sustainability and the cancellation of all architectural barriers, making it a paradise of comfort and relaxation and totally accessible to the disabled.

Not least because the visionary and volcanic owner Siro, a great lover of Africa and comfort, is a person with disabilities and is the first to want to enjoy this paradise and make his guests enjoy it.

Immersed in an ecosystem populated by all the main wild animals that can be found in Kenya's parks, between the immense Tsavo East, which can be visited from dawn to dusk, and the Galana reserve, where it is also possible to go on electrifying night safaris, Kiboko River Camp consists of six exclusive, elegant and spacious tents with a masonry base, all with attention to the smallest details and embellished by a private veranda overlooking the river, offering priceless and exciting scenery at all times. The tents all sleep four, with a double bed and two other possible single accommodations, and there is a larger suite, consisting of two communicating rooms, for large families or groups of friends. Due to its exclusivity, it is also suitable to be booked by groups or for events, and enjoyed without other people.

The idea of relaxation and complete immersion in the surroundings is completed by the infinity pool on the Galana River, from which, in addition to relaxing and enjoying a drink between safaris, hippos and crocodiles can also be admired from a safe distance.

It is incredible to think that you are only an hour and a half away from the seaside resorts, which can be reached by the convenient tarmac road that can also be travelled by a non-off-road car.

In this totally wildlife friendly place, a water reservoir has been dug for all species to drink and the cameras at the pond show zebras, gazelles, giraffes, elephants and even a beautiful family of lions, making use of the water reservoir, which becomes essential in certain seasons. Guests can see the animals moving freely on their mobile phones, via an app that is provided to them during their stay at the camp. Safety is ensured by an electric grid surrounding the area and maasai keepers who know the wildlife very well and know how to keep them at a distance, as well as protect and warn guests.

In this eco-friendly paradise, electricity and hot water are constantly provided by solar panels (although there is a generator, just in case) and continuous water recycling to avoid waste.

Another highlight of Kiboko River Camp is the restaurant. Not only for its privileged position overlooking the river with a 180-degree panoramic view, but also for its varied and refined Italian cuisine, with the addition of a wood-burning oven for real Neapolitan pizza.
