Kenya, even commercially speaking, has more than one face: if one intends to invest and still has a desire to work seriously, the place where one can do so and go for a secure income, with parameters that can hardly be pursued in Italy, that is Nairobi.

The restaurant industry, for us Italians, continues to give great satisfaction. An attractive investment, in this light, is one of the capital's best-known restaurants, bar gelateria: Karen's Cascina. Open since 2016 inside the very well-traveled shopping mall The Hub, La Cascina has been able to win an international clientele, working at lunch and continuously until late in the evening with dinner. In 2022, the business had a very good turnover and made a net profit of about 25 percent of sales.

Now the management has decided, after many years in Kenya, not only in Nairobi, to return to Italy and divest the very start-up business, with all the machinery and supplies and with an enviable client portfolio, as well as a nationwide name of being among the benchmarks of Italian food and wine in Nairobi. The current director is moreover available for a transition period of the business and to assist him with all the necessary paperwork for the acquisition and subsequently in dealing with employees and suppliers.

A bit of background: the restaurant seats about 110 people, has a large kitchen, an in-house bakery and pastry shop, and a large warehouse and storage area. It currently has 25 full-time employees.
