WATAMU

Rafiki Tamu, the season in Watamu never ends

Hospitality and news: what a beautiful tourism reality!

22-04-2024 by redazione

Although the Kenyan coast is always a spectacle, and even after a few downpours, the sun always comes out at some point and nature blooms even more sparkling, the air of the low season in Watamu, after a record-breaking full house in the (northern) winter of 2023-2024, can be felt tangibly and dimly.
An air of peace and relaxation for residents, a time of silence and slightly more African living for homeowners who have extended their holiday, and occasional arrivals of weekend Kenyans, unconventional travellers in love with Kenya in any time dimension.
In this always pleasant and attractive scenario, the large Italian family of Rafiki Group has decided to keep its residences open, with the villas available to those who want to stay, enjoy comfort, swimming pool, security, staff and even a cook and many other options.
Those passing through Watamu, but also those arriving there for work (an ideal and quiet period, with more affordable costs for 'smart working', for example) can have their ideal 'buen retiro', at the Rafiki Tamu Residential Resort, choosing between the Milele Resort, Maisha Resort and Jua Resort.
In the meantime, work has begun on the new Dunia Resort, which promises new residential units in a space adjoining Rafiki Tamu, a few dozen metres therefore from the main road, the new shopping centre with supermarket and bar, and not far as the crow flies from the white beaches and the Indian ocean.
The construction of the Dunia Resort certifies not only the worthiness of the Rafiki Group's project, but also the confidence in Watamu's further rise in popularity and development as an international and increasingly residential destination. Moreover, most importantly, it will allow more than 100 Kenyans to work on site for the next 13-14 months and many seasonal workers (as is normal in tourist resorts) to have another job even while many activities are closed.
Combining tourism, with its even frivolous aspects, with social work, offering opportunities for economic relief and bringing benefits to the families of many Kenyans who want to work, is one of the Rafiki Group's aims. Preparing for a new high season that promises new successes.
