There are ten new official cases of Covid-19 virus positive in Kenya, 50 days after the announcement of the first infected in Kenya. Cases that brought the total to 384 with 129 people discharged after the final two swabs were negative. The cured patients of Wednesday, April 29th are five. Also today, for the ninth day in a row, no deaths.
Nine of the new recorded cases come from Mombasa and one from Nairobi County,
They are 6 men and 4 women between the ages of 10 and 63.
The announcement came from the Director General of Health of Kenya, Mercy Mwangangi, who added that in the last 24 hours 508 swabs have been carried out (almost 300 from Nairobi and just under one hundred from Mombasa, and the others from other counties of the country), reiterating that soon the Ministry will be able to guarantee rapid and greater quantities of swabs.
Mwangangi asked citizens not to exclude and avoid patients cured of the virus, but to welcome them back into the community, after news of stigmatization.
Despite the fact that the majority of Coronavirus cases come from Mombasa and Nairobi," asked the Medical Director, "I ask the inhabitants of other cities and counties not to let their guard down, because the emergency is not over.
He then spoke of the places where the latest positives come from and where the risk of contagion may be higher.

For the thirty-sixth consecutive day, the other two counties on the coast, Kilifi and Kwale, reported no contagion, remaining at zero growth.
