Two days between Malindi and Watamu for "Donnavventura".
There could not be missing the coastal resorts most loved by Italians in the itinerary of the television program Rete 4 that for this year's edition has decided to stop in Kenya and that will later touch Ethiopia, Mozambique and some islands of the Indian Ocean.
The five girls who have been the protagonists of the reality travel that will be broadcast since January 2018, have been literally enchanted by Kenya and, after approaching the savannah and national parks, they have enthusiastically plunged into the marine nature of the two tourist towns.
The very young Chiara, Alessia, Felicitas, Marianna and Vanessa visited Watamu on Monday and went into the unexpected scenery of the Mida Creek, taking a boat on the channels formed by mangroves and experimenting with another wild part of real Africa, so close to resorts and comfort.
"We have also got stuck with the boat and we had to get a little bit slow - the aspiring travel reporters tell us - it was a real and adventurous experience, in addition to those we spent in the heart of Kenya, in the presence of wild animals".
Adrenaline then made room for emotion when the girls visited an orphanage in Watamu.
"Moments that will remain indelible in our memories" admit Chiara and Marianna.
Yesterday morning instead for Vanessa there was a special test, a flight reportage directly from a small plane departing from Malindi airport.
After a series of landscape patrols over the town, from forests to coral reefs, the aircraft passed at a very low altitude right above Silversand beach where the adventure companions photographed and picked up the scene and greeted the other members of the team.
"What extraordinary places, we are lucky to have visited them and lived in this way," said the 2017 "women-adventure".
After a tour in the centre of Malindi, in the afternoon another excursion to an unprecedented landscape in the middle of the Kenyan rural communities, the "Hell's Kitchen" of Marafa. Other tests to be overcome and other emotions to impress in one's memory and to be inserted into the baggage of African experiences.
Today it is the turn of Mombasa and the South Coast.
But Malindi and Watamu will have a special place in their hearts.
