Good news for those who are already thinking of spending a holiday in Kenya during the months when temperatures start to drop in Italy.
The Ethiopian national airline, Ethiopian Airlines has decided to schedule from the end of October, a direct flight a day from Milan Malpensa to Addis Ababa and for those arriving in the capital of Ethiopia with final destination Mombasa, the wait will be no more than an hour and a half.
This is thanks to the addition of 4 direct Milan-Addis-Milan flights and another 3 that will have Zurich as the departure airport on the outward journey and the final destination on the return.

More or less the same possibility will also be there for those travelling from Rome, thanks to the connection with Marseille airport, which will replace the current link with Geneva. In practice, from 29 October the company will retire the Milan-Rome-Addis Ababa flight currently in its international rotations.
The confirmation also comes from specialised sites, which publish the company's statement:
"Ethiopian Airlines in the winter season 2022/23 is changing some services to Europe, including the new service to Zurich. As per the recent timetable update, and at the time of writing this press release, the latest adjustment is as follows:
Rome will also be able to enjoy daily flights from 30 October, again with Boeing 777-200LR. Departure from Rome Fiumicino at 22.40 and arrival at 7.10 in Addis, and return with departure at 23.20 and arrival in Rome at 3.50. On the other three days, with connections to Marseille, departure and arrival times at Fiumicino vary by 15 minutes.
