After one hundred days long, especially for patients in all of Kenya, the doctors decided to retract their protest and return to the hospitals.
The strike created to assert their rights, enshrined in a category by some ready-year contract and never entered into force, has given birth to a mouse of a memorandum of understanding which will be discussed in the coming days.
But the loose rope of unions was certainly the move that everyone expected, the health situation in Kenya had really made problematic.
We know that over eighty percent of Kenyans have no economic means to access private care and clinical parastatal paid.
This has created serious problems which fortunately were partly buffered by a volunteer network, and by the same doctors of the private sector which are provided for free.
But the strike, also extended to the nurses and staff of hospitals, it has put an already mistreated by the logic sector of the latest governments to their knees.
The news of the return to work of doctors and the state health staff followed two days of the end of the protest of university teachers, who have resumed their classes on Monday.
