Six years of Vinyasa celebrated in a big way in Malindi

Success and ethical certification for the Italian importer in East Africa

16-07-2024 by redazione

Vinyasa, the Italian import company based in Kenya is six years old. It was founded exactly six years ago on 28 July and since then has been on a happily progressive growth path, with very flattering economic and organisational results.

Vinyasa 's balance sheet is certified by the auditors' firm Willis Kayanda and has now also been enriched by the SA/8000 business ethics certification, and is the first company in the sector in Kenya to obtain it. In practice, SA/8000 certifies that the company is ethical, that it works well, within the law, and that employees are treated humanely, fairly and without harassment.

But what has contributed to Vinyasa's growth? The backing and support of the big Italian food brands that were looking for a serious and organised importer: DeCecco, Mutti, Berlucchi, Mezzacorona, Caviro, MadamaOliva, Granarolo, IGOR, Simonini, Colussi (and also Nutella, SanPellegrino, Mulino Bianco) are the brands that Vinyasa distributes throughout East Africa.

So to celebrate this anniversary, Vinyasa has organised an event, an invitation-only brunch, in its forecourt on Sunday 28 July at 1pm, with the participation of two famous and entertaining tenors, Claudio Mattioli and Max Barbolini, who demystify classical opera by transforming it into a lighter, funnier and more captivating performance. But that music has deep roots in the land of good food (it is no coincidence that Verdi was from Parma!), which is also the land of Italians, peasants, nomads and poets, perhaps even pirates. True spectacle! In short, for Vinyasa, this milestone of the first six years is a victory of courage, a strong light, a promise kept, a tricolour heart-shaped star, the kind that is nice to follow to see where they are going, how far they will go and what other trails of quality and prestige will follow.

Says Paul Taura, manager of Vinyasa: 'if we manage to grow further as a company by always remaining humble and focused and doing things that many dream of doing, it is because we don't just dream them. We put in fierce will and concentration to overcome all the obstacles (many) that stand in front of us....and an appreciation to Ludovica Cipolla who silently does her job as marketing manager and because it is only right that people know that it is people like her and Diana and Lena, silent and active, who are the people at the heart of Vinyasa'.
