How can you have fun at the beach when it's low season on the coast? By spending a day barefoot on the sand at Karen's! It's not a joke, it's Beach Time organized by Matteo's Events on Sunday, May 11, for Mother's Day weekend.
Matteo's, “come rain or come shine” as Frank Sinatra would sing, has set up a small paradise of real sand and a large tent to entertain children in particular, but mothers will also have their special day, announced by a glass of prosecco offered by the house.
The day includes a puppet show, magic and beach games, painting and cookie decorating, followed by pizza at the end of the day and dancing in the evening, a small beach party sheltered from any rain that may fall at this time of year. The day starts at 2:00 p.m., admission for children is KES 2,000 if you book in advance by sending a message to Till Mpesa number 5725053 and confirming to 0718283233 (recommended due to limited space on the beach), or KES 2,500 at the entrance on the day itself.
