Gambero Rosso big day in Nairobi today

We tell you about a 'wine tasting' on the eve of the promotion event

30-01-2024 by Freddie del Curatolo

For Nairobi and for Italian wineries, importers and restaurateurs in Kenya, the big day has arrived in the Kenyan capital of Gambero Rosso which, as we announced a few days ago, this year for the first time has included Kenya in its annual international 'roadshow' to promote food and wine excellence and award its famous 'forks'.

But that's not all: the international brand linked to the famous guide, in concert with the Italian Embassy in Kenya, organised a happening to introduce 35 wineries and 150 award-winning Italian wines to the Kenyan market and its potential importers and retailers.
The day, which can be interpreted as a sort of 'Vinitaly' in Nairobi, is by invitation only for the sector and the media, but we will tell you all about it because, coincidentally at the same time as the Italy-Africa summit in Rome, which is also attended by Kenyan President William Ruto and in which Kenya is among the protagonists because of the many joint projects that bind us and will bind us, this event also represents a fundamental step to promote 'Made in Italy' in Kenya.

Here the prestgious canteens involved in the Nairobi tour: ANDREOLA, APOLLONIO, BORGO CONVENTI, CANTINA DI CARPI E SORBARA, CANTINA PRODUTTORI CORMÒNS, CANTINA TOLLO, CANTINE DUE PALME, CANTINE SETTESOLI, CASALE DEL GIGLIO, CONTE COLLALTO, COPPI, FAMIGLIA CECCHI, FANTINEL, FIRRIATO, FLORIO, FONTANAFREDDA, LA TORDERA, LE MONDE, MASCIARELLI, MONTELVINI, NICOSIA, POGGIO LE VOLPI, PRODUTTORI DI MANDURIA, RIDOLFI, SAN FELICE, SORELLE BRONCA, TENUTA SANT'ANTONIO, TENUTE RUBINO, VALLEPICCIOLA, VALLONE, VARVAGLIONE 1921, VELENOSI, VILLA SANDI, VINOSIA, ZORZETTIG.

In the meantime, we tell you on video, in our usual 'light' tone, about an evening of wine tasting in Nairobi with the importer Gourmet Master and two excellent Italian wineries that are attracting the attention of the Kenyan market, hoping to do the same with many others in the future.
