With the arrival of the season, the reopening of venues and resorts in Watamu, the wide selection of imported Italian products returns to the mecca of our country's goodness in the Kenyan coastal resort town, Taste Italy. Known for years now for its unsurpassed value for money and careful selection of products, including well-known brands and labels and excellences from Piedmont, the owners' reason for origin.
Here, then, is the return (and hurry, because it usually sells out) of Rey pasta, and the better-stocked selection of Saclà products reappears. In plain sight Nutella and all the products associated with the mouth-watering Italian boast, but not only. Taste Italy this year increased even more the range of kitchen and home accessories on offer: from moka pots to sleeves for keeping wine chilled, from top-quality knives to other kitchen tools, as well as mugs, glasses and other useful, made-in-Italy items. Not forgetting some of the special features of the Italian importer from Watamu, which are pet food for all the needs of man's best friends, espresso coffee and a choice of wines, not only from Piedmont, which this year are enriched with an excellent Pinot Grigio from Veneto at a very interesting price and an equally good Arneis.
It is worth making a trip to Taste Italy now, because there is always demand in Watamu and the best things run out soon, although there will be more containers in the coming months.
