A Kitesurf tournament of national importance to support the protection of sea turtles.
This is what The Sands At Nomad of Diani Beach, the resort and restaurant on the beautiful beach of the most attractive tourist resort on the south Kenyan coast, has decided to organize.
Here today, Friday 28th January, and tomorrow, the "Kenta Cup 2022 Kite Freestyle Competition" will be staged, starting at 10am for registration and kicking off with the races at 12pm, in the enchanting marine setting of Diani.
But the competition, apart from the sportsmen who will participate and for the fun of those who will be able to watch the event from the beach or sipping a drink at Nomad, is a very important event because for those who will participate in the charity lottery combined with the event, there will be the possibility to aspire to three different cash prizes (first prize Kes. 50.000) but above all to help the Diani Turtle Watch, an association that deals with saving and preserving sea turtles and ensuring that these endangered specimens always find spaces in the coast of the south coast of Kenya to lay their eggs and make them arrive to hatch for the survival of the species.
During the two-day event, there will also be craft stalls and international music by DJ Stoppa.
