Two days of concerts, exhibitions, artistic productions and handicrafts at the Malindi Museum for the now usual happening "Malindi International Art & Culture Extravaganza", which takes place Friday 29th and Saturday 30th September throughout the day and most of the night.
The gardens in front of the Malindi National Museum (next to the Uhuru square, better known as the "Changing Square") will be animated by Kenyan artists and not that will be able to climb on a stage and show their skills in different artistic and cultural disciplines, from song to dance, from kidnapping (very popular also in Kenya among young people) to acrobatic poetry and choreography.
The organization, set up by the director of the Caesar Bita Museum, is organized by the Tabaka Arts Association.
The aim is to promote tourism in Malindi, in this sense the creation of a market where art and crafts can be exhibited the tourist can see the panorama of local offers, with special prices for the occasion.
"Through the shows we intend to provide a platform to promote young local artists in Malindi and to develop their talent - explains the director BIta - in addition to promoting the protection of culture through different dances, literary events and theme evenings managed by the different communities, also showing customs, customs, gastronomy drinks and traditional clothes".
Entrance is free from Friday afternoon at 3:00 to Sunday morning and everyone is invited to take part in an interesting and festive event, definitely to promote!
