What animals thinks about kenyan mzungu

Freddie e Sbringo show from 1 august at Baby Marrow

28-07-2019 by redazione

Have you ever wondered what a rhino might think of us mzungu?
Or if an elephant is happy or not to have given the name to Kenya's most popular beer?
Do you know why the notorious maneaters of the Tsavo lions used to gobble up of human beings?
This and much more, in an ironic and musical key, is the meaning of the five Thursdays of August 2019, in the show entitled "Big 5" set up at the Baby Marrow Art & Food Restaurant in Malindi by the journalist, writer and performer Freddie del Curatolo with the shoulder of many years, the musician and composer Marco "Sbringo" Bigi.
From August 1 every week Freddie and Sbringo will accompany the italian guests of Vasco Da Gama Road in a journey on the tracks of the five iconic animals of the savannah.
It starts with the most impressive, the elephant that, including original songs and monologues, covers of Italian and foreign authors and jazz arrangements, will be the protagonist of stories of men who in some way have had relationships with his species.
After them, Thursday, August 8 will be the turn of the lion, between "hakuna matata" and the saboteurs of the Kenyan railway, and then will be the leopard, between revolution Mau Mau and fashion a bit 'tacky, the buffalo with the great hunters of the past and the rhino with its horn aphrodisiac.
There is always something to laugh at and think about, as well as being carried away by good music and shaking your head smiling at impromptu jokes and motives that certainly amuse even today the two who write them but, judging by the good response and the "sold out" of previous editions, even the public.
On the other hand, the pleasure of involving and the desire to tell with a smile the "white" Kenya are the basis of the success of the shows of Freddie and Sbringo.
Appointment every Thursday in August from 1, to 21 with dinner a la carte, by appointment.
