Semiserious kiswahili lessons, chapter 9

02-11-2021 by Freddie del Curatolo

Living for the day is one of the philosophies of Africa below the equator and, in this forced and complicated world, today it almost seems like salvation.
Here, however, it is often a question of mere survival or of considering it a superhuman effort to get out of an ancestral condition.
The fact is that "Leo" or today, in Kiswahili, prevails over "kesho" (tomorrow) and "jana" (yesterday).
This and many other considerations in our ninth journey around the official language of Kenya and other East African countries, talking about days and time in general.
GOOD VISION!
