On the eve of the bis elections in Kenya, their conduct is still not safe.
A matter of a few hours and the Supreme Court will pronounce on the last petition that remains pending, the one that calls for the annulment of the electoral process due to the renunciation of participation by Raila Odinga.
It renounces that until now, however, it has not been transmitted in a manner adhering to the law, but only announced verbally.
Meanwhile, the Commonwealth observers decided yesterday evening to withdraw from their supervisory role.
"They said, citing the fact that, according to them, previous votes had taken place in a clear and smooth manner, but criticism of their assertion had rained from the Opposition.
Not even a large number of observers in the United Europe feel a calm atmosphere, and its members will refrain from being "on the ground", preferring to control telematic operations.
Meanwhile, the government reports that the elections will be held regularly, and for this reason it has called for a day of celebration today.
Odinga instead invited her voters, in the event of a vote, not to go out in the streets to protest, but to stay at home and boycott the elections.
The important thing, at this moment, is that the sense of peace and national unity prevails.
