Malindi cries Angelo Rondino, a nice italian

Roman entrepreneur died at 76

21-11-2021 by Freddie del Curatolo

"Our dear Angelo" sang Lucio Battisti and there is no better way to remember a beautiful person like Angelo Rondino, who left us in recent days at seventy-six years after a short and aggressive illness.
Angelo, an atypical Romanaccio because he was never over the top, always discreet and not at all accustomed to the spotlight, had frequented Malindi for many years and had also set up interesting investments that did not always, for one reason or another and always in spite of great honesty (or perhaps because of too much honesty...) had worked as he deserved.
In Italy he was known and respected for having founded a company of fire extinguishers and burglar alarms.
In Malindi I personally remember him working with a boutique in the center of town in the early years of the Millennium, then with a production and export of typical handmade sandals with beads and with a small factory of phosphorescent jackets. Angelo worked hard, without disdaining the pleasures of the place he had learned to love, days at the beach, free time for the hobby of reading and evenings in the company of "few but good" friends. A gentleman, always generous, smiling measured in judgments and words. He left like that, with elegance and discretion as he lived.
Angelo leaves three children, two in Italy and one in Kenya. To them the most heartfelt condolences.
