There is a lot of 'our' Africa in Italy's victory at the FIAP (International Federation of Photographic Art) nature photography world championship, which was recently held in Germany.

The 22nd edition of the 'Fiap Nature Biennal' decreed the victory of the tricolour team, which won the world cup, but also recorded the splendid result obtained by the team of 10 Italian photographers, which saw the Italian resident in Kenya Paolo Torchio, a great expert in photographic safaris whose shots have for years been featured in the most important magazines in the sector, individually awarded the gold medal for the shot entitled 'Temporale' (Thunderstorm). Torchio in 2022 also won 'The greatest Maasai Mara Photographer of the Year'.

Italy in the special FIAP World Cup ranking was ahead of France, Ireland and Luxembourg. Special mentions went to Argentina, Great Britain, India and Germany.
