A confirmation of the desire to restart on the coastal destination of Kenya also comes from Turkish Airlines, which after having resumed in recent weeks the route Istanbul-Nairobi, is ready to restart with the direct route Istanbul-Mombasa from August 3 with two weekly flights.
Departures from Italy on Tuesdays and Saturdays from the airports served by the Turkish airline, Milan Malpensa, Rome Fiumicino, Venice Marco Polo, Bologna Marconi and Naples Capo di Chino, with direct connections to the flight leaving Istanbul at 20.20 and arriving in Mombasa at 03.25 (local time).
The returns will operate on Wednesdays and Sundays with departure from Mombasa at 04.25 always with the possibility of connecting with Italian airports, total flight time from 12 to 15 hours. Costs from about 600 Euro a/r.
For those who wish, there is also the route to and from Nairobi with weekly frequency of five flights both outward (Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday) and return (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday).
The flight plan on the airline's website shows the maximum number of scheduled flights to be operated in a week until 31 August and, as they point out, changes may occur due to operational services and therefore schedules and frequency may be updated.
Passengers can make unlimited changes without penalty by changing their ticket to a new destination or converting it to an open ticket, for tickets purchased between 21 March 2020 and 31 December 2021 (inclusive).
Option to hold the reservation for 24 hours and keep the price, with €17 deducted at the time of purchase or retained in case of cancellation.
On all flights, Turkish accepts a single piece of luggage weighing up to 32 kg, in the cabin hand luggage must not exceed 8 kg.
It is mandatory to wear a mask at the airport, during boarding and during the flight. As disposable surgical masks must be changed every four hours, it is advisable to bring enough for the duration of the trip.
