The Italian Cultural Institute of Nairobi is organising an end-of-year event to commemorate a 2023 full of appointments, collaborations with Italian and Kenyan artists, bodies and associations, venues and events, in the name of mixing and promoting Italian culture and language in Kenya.
At the same time, the IIC will give a preview of some of the equally interesting proposals for 2024.
The appointment is set for Sunday 10 December at Matteo's restaurant in Karen (Ngong Road) starting at 11am.
There will also be space for an unprecedented and unmissable concert, for those who are in and around Nairobi: the talented Tuscan jazz singer and musician Serena Berneschi, will perform together with the celebrated Kenyan trumpeter Mackinlay Mutsembi, accompanied by a band made up of Suleiman Kimani (keyboards), Mike Onyie (bass) and George 'JoG' Nzuki (drums).
Throughout the day, the institute has prepared a number of activities to entertain the children, ensuring an engaging and fun experience.
An all-Italian buffet lunch will be provided for participants, who should make reservations at iicnairobi@esteri.it by Friday morning.
