The new Barracuda Resort in Watamu is a jewel of modernity, services and security, with a fantastic added value that now opens to the outside world and will not be the privilege of hotel guests only.
The historic resort overlooking Watamu's iconic widest bay, which can count on the solid link with Italian tour operator Alpitour, has been redesigned and largely rebuilt with a focus on comfort and full immersion in the African landscape of this corner of paradise.
The Barracuda is now a model of hospitality, with common spaces designed for socialising, starting with the large veranda with circular sofas, a room that is not only for television and computers, but very suitable for sharing, one for the youngsters with video and playstation, and the catalysing and holidaying element of the large swimming pool that, as always, stands in the centre of the structure.
But let us come to what is about to become the most scenic space in Watamu for enjoying an aperitif at the magical hour of sunset, or even spending hours relaxing during the day, in front of a unique panorama from that height. On the second floor of the structure housing the resort's restaurant, a huge lounge bar has been created, with part of the terrace covered and part given over to comfortable sofas in style, with an incomparable view of the entire bay and beyond, in total peace and quiet, far from any possible source of disturbance (read beach boys). 
As of these days, the lounge bar at the Barracuda is also open to outsiders and is set to become a cult location for those who frequent the tourist destination.
