The historic Barracuda Inn resort, which stands on one of the most choreographic beaches of Watamu and before the unfortunate period of pandemic restrictions was one of the reference points for the vacations of Italians and others on the Kenyan coast, has finally decided to reopen its doors.
After the removal of the curfew by the Kenyan government and in view of the full reopening of tourism from Italy in the coming months, the Italian property of the resort is ready to offer its location and services in view of the winter that contrasts with the most beautiful and warm season on the equator.
"We've been waiting for a long time to be able to give our regular customers and future ones dreaming of a vacation in Kenya this good news - explains owner Giuseppe Bonasera - even during this period of forced closure, we have never stopped believing in Watamu and at the same time we want to offer our staff the opportunity to return to full service again."
From December 10th, Barracuda Resort will reopen initially as a Bed & Breakfast, but it will also be possible to book lunches and dinners, thanks to a dedicated kitchen service with an "à la carte" menu that will vary from day to day. It will be one of the many novelties, starting from a new professionalism, that will offer to "repeaters" and to those who are looking for a situation that combines quality, good prices, beauty and relaxation in the "pearl of the Indian Ocean".
