The situation in intensive care in Kenya is under control, the percentage confirms the slightly improving trend, while the doctors' health and resilience are worrying. Yesterday, in the face of 17 new deaths linked to Covid-19, two professionals succumbed to the disease. One of them was the head of the nephrology unit at Kenyatta Hospital. Many others are infected on a daily basis and the union begins to report the fears and anxieties of the category.
Kenya has recorded 1211 new positive cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the country's total since the beginning of the pandemic to 76404. Official deaths have reached 1366.
In intensive care, 67 patients are hospitalised, 36 of whom are under ventilatory support and 31 under supplementary oxygen. A total of 1134 people are hospitalised for Covid-19 in the country's various healthcare facilities, while 6805 are in isolation and receive home care.
A further 368 patients were discharged, 265 of them were followed home as part of the home care programme and 103 were discharged from hospital.

The recovery of 368 patients was positive, 265 of whom were in the home care programme, while 103 were discharged from various hospitals, bringing the total number of recoveries to 51,352.

An important fact that we have asked for several times and we hope it can be communicated in the daily bulletins is that of the swabs carried out in every single County. With this data we would better understand the hiccups of areas that one day record very few cases and in the following 24 hours have many more.
